Potenza™ is a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device developed by Cynosure, a leader in medical aesthetic technologies. It is designed to provide effective skin rejuvenation and treatment for various skin concerns through a combination of microneedling RF energy delivery, and advanced serum penetration.
How does it work?
Microneedling involves creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin’s surface using fine needles. They stimulate the skin’s natural healing response, prompting collagen and elastin production, which helps to improve skin texture and firmness.
What sets Potenza apart is its ability to deliver Radio Frequency (RF) energy directly into the dermis through the fine needles. RF energy heats the deeper layers of the skin, causing controlled thermal injury. This thermal injury further stimulates collagen production and tightens existing collagen fibres, leading to smoother, firmer skin.

What to expect with Potenza:
During the procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort. The handheld device is then moved over the treatment area, delivering the micro needles and RF energy. Patients may experience mild redness and swelling immediately after treatment, which typically subsides within a few hours to a few days.
Results from Potenza treatments are gradual and typically become noticeable within a few weeks to months as collagen remodelling continues. A Minimum of 3 treatments is recommended for optimal results.
